Essington Parish Council HR Meeting to be held on Wednesday the 5th of November 2025 at 10am in the CC Hall.
Exclusion of the press and public: The Chairman to inform any members of the Public or Press that in view of confidential business to be transacted in Agenda items 4,5,6 & 7 that they are excluded in accordance with the Public Bodies (admission to meetings) Act 1960 Section 1 (2).
Public and Press Participation Maximum of 15 minutes- Any Elector of the Parish of Essington may raise a question by prior request in writing to the clerk within the period of publication of the agenda and the meeting itself, on any issue relating to Official Parish Council Business.

Essington Parish Council HR Meeting held on Wednesday the 5th of November 2025 at 10am in the CC Hall.

Members Present: Councillor Gill Kelly- Chair of the HR Committee, Councillor Chris Steel- Chairman of the Parish Council and Councillor Hilary Southern Vice- Chair of the Parish Council.
Minutes
1. Apologies- Councillor Warren Fisher-due to work commitments.
2. Declarations of Interest- None
3. Terms of Reference- The Clerk apologised that she had not been able to complete the terms before the meeting and will send them out as soon as possible.
4. Staff Appraisals held in July – Update- There were no significant issues raised during the appraisals. Next appraisals are due to take place July 2026.
5. RFO Job Description- Council reviewed the RFO Job description with some suggested changes.
6. Clerk PayScale Review- The clerk left the meeting @10.33am while the Committee considered the PayScale. Members agreed on an increase to the next pay point from April 26 and will consider raising the scale further once CiLCA has been achieved. To be reviewed at the Finance meeting for 2026/27 Budget. The Clerk returned to the meeting at 10.46am
7. Salary Review all Staff- Councillors reviewed staff pay scales and agreed to recommend a 3.2% increase, based on last year’s Annual increase, subject to ratification by Full Council and a budget review at the Finance meeting on the 10th of November.
8. Date of the Next Meeting- 12th of May 2026 @ 10am
9. Closure- 11.09 am
