Full Parish Council Meeting Monday the 15th of May 2023 following the Annual Meeting.

 

Present: Councillors, Chris Steel, Hilary Southern, Gill Kelly, Steve Porter, Adrian Nicklin, Warren Fisher, James Parker & Susan Sheldon

 

Also Present: Louise Tipler Clerk & Kate Roberts RFO.

Minutes

  1. Apologies- Thelma Mattison and Ken Moseley.

 

  1. Declarations of Interest- Hilary declared a non-pecuniary interest in item 11 on the agenda.
  2. Minutes of the meeting held on the 17th of April 2023- Proposed by Adrian, Seconded by Gill, all in Favour
  3. Matters arising from previous minutes- None
  4. District Councillors Report- Councillor Chris Steel and Councillor Warren Fisher have been duly Elected to District Councillors
  5. Financial Matters-

6.1 Schedule of Payments- May 2023- Proposed by Hilary, seconded by James, all in Favour.

6.2 Income and Expenditure Report- April 2023- Proposed by Adrian, seconded by Steve, all in favour

6.3 Bank Reconciliation- April 2023- Proposed by Gill, Seconded by Adrian, all in Favour.

 

6.4 To Receive End of Year Reports- 2022/2023- Councillors received and noted the end of year reports.

6.5 Ratify donation of £390.00 to Featherstone and District Community First Responders- Proposed by Chris, that the Parish Council make a donation towards insuring the Featherstone and District Community First Responders Vehicle as written in their Grant/ Fund application. Seconded by Hilary, all in favour.

6.6 Ratify FOC Hall Hire to Chill out Club Organisation from the 8th of June – 10th of August 2023.Proposed by Adrian, that the sessions are on a trial basis only, pending a signed agreement set out by the Council, Seconded Susan, all in favour.

 

 

6.7 Ratify £5 for the Monthly copy of the Parish Magazine. It was suggested that Council consider Purchasing additional copies of the magazine per Month for distribution in other.

Community areas Councillors discussed and resolved to Purchase 5 Copies in total at a cost of £25 per annum. Proposed by Chris, Seconded by Warren, all in favour.

 

  1. Co-Option- four vacancies for Co-option will be advertised in due course and will be displayed on the Parish Council notice Board, Website and Parish Magazine.

 

  1. 1911 Café Rent/ License Review- Deferred to the Management Committee Meeting.

  2. Esther’s Wardrobe Rent/ License Review– Deferred to the Management Committee Meeting

 

  1. Climate Change– deferred to Maintenance Committee.
  2. Re introduce Publication of Minutes into the Parish Magazine.Councillors agreed to re -introduce the minutes into the Parish Magazine however, the minutes may appear in draft form which indicates that they have not yet been ratified and signed by the Full Council.

 

Date of the next Meeting- 12th of June 2023.
