We’ve recently received notification from Staffordshire Civil Contingencies Unit of a confirmed outbreak of avian influenza within the county.

As a result of this we would like to ask that members of the public do not feed the birds on any land owned / maintained by this council, At present this is a precautionary measure, and we will update the page as soon as we have any further information.

Can we ask that members of the public do not to touch or attempt to rescue sick / dead birds, but to report these directly to the Defra Helpline on 03459 335577 (option 7).
