Minutes
Management Meeting Monday March 22nd 2021 @ 7pm
The Meeting held via Zoom.
1) Apologies- Cllr Kelly, Cllr T Mattison
2) Declaration of Interests- None
3) Approval of the Minutes of the last Meeting-Proposed by Cllr Porter, seconded by Cllr Haddon, 1x Abstained
4) Matters Arising from the last Meeting-None
5) Correspondence- Letters received from Residents-
. A possibly sighting of Japanese knot weed at the Pools, County Council to be made aware.
. Councillors discussed correspondence from two residents regarding several concerns including Highways, Planning, and Precept both residents will be written a letter of reply in due course.
6) Essington Community Centre Maintenance
a) Emergency Exits-Still waiting for quotes
b) Kelly Tots- Car Park Crossing/ Walkway- Kelly Tots Nursery have put a proposal into Council to have a crossing across the Community Centre car park from the Nursery to the new play area to safely cross the children and encourage road safety. Nursery to fund the works. Proposed by Cllr Fisher, seconded by Cllr Dodd, 5x Abstained.
c) Car Park Surface- Clerk to Chase for update
d) Alterations to lobby doors- Alterations have been carried out with no charge.
e) Outside Lighting- Received one Quote
f) Fire Risk Assessments- Improvements need to be made prior Assessment. (Cllr Dodd)
g) Key Register- Received one Quote
7) Clerk/RFO- Job Advertisement. Councillors agreed that the job advertisement was sufficient and should be advertised immediately.
8) Essington Show- Due to the success and popularity of previous years, Councillors discussed several ideas for a scaled down Essington Show to take place at the Pools during August 2021. With lots to consider the Chairman deferred discussions to next Management Meeting.
9) Email domain- New email addresses have been issued and instructions to set up will be circulated to Councillors shortly.
10) Pools Signage- Signage has now been erected around the pools area, the Chairman and Councillors wish to thank all the Volunteers involved.
11) ECC Storage Spaces- Storage spaces have been cleared of unnecessary clutter and all hirers have been notified of any changes.
12) Hall Hire- Pharmacy- Pharmacy have requested use of the Community Hall for possible Community Immunisation subject to inspection and eligibility.
13) Westcroft Playing Field/Rubbish- Arrangements have been made for a litter pick with resident volunteers from Westcroft.
14)Food Bank- Food Bank not proving very busy, Councillors have agreed on one more session. To be added to the next Agenda for further discussion.
15)Street Buddies- Deferred
16) Swan Park- Swan Park Committee advised Council that negotiations with Bovis had broken down a Swan Park committee meeting has been arranged for the 31st March.
