Members present: Councillors, Chris Steel, Chairman, Vice-Chair, Hilary Southern, Gill Kelly, James Parker, Ken Moseley, Warren Fisher and Joy Markiewicz.
Also present: Louise Tipler, Clerk and Joe Yates, Admin Assistant.
Minutes
1) Apologies – No apologies
2 ) Declarations of Interest – Gill Kelly – Graffiti wall.
3) Approval of the last meeting minutes on the 15th of January 2025 – Proposed by Ken Moseley, seconded by James Parker, all in favour that the minutes were a true and accurate record.
4) Matters Arising – No matters arising.
5) ECC
a. Community Centre Hall – Alarm – Stay on agenda, WF to look at fire plan.
b. Community Centre – Ladies Toilet Refurbishment – Replacement Windows – Get quotes to replace windows.
c. Gents Toilet Refurbishment – After April – 3 quotes required – stay on agenda.
d. Posts and SIDS – update – Quote from Contactor for posts at Broad Lane.
e. Tree Maintenance Regime – JP to meet with Contractor – stay on agenda.
f. Tree Policy – Stay on agenda.
g. Car Park – Pedestrian Fall – Nothing to report.
h. Renew Waste Management Contract – Stay with current contractor for another 2 years, reduced bill by £191 a month. WF to look at the contract.
i. CCTV- Rear of Community Centre – Add CCTV over a 3-year period – get 3 quotes for final plan.
j. Community Newsletter – stay on agenda – to look at once budget has been agreed.

k. Celebration in the Community – Feedback has been good, rethink of nominations.
l. EPC Hub- Chatty Café – Stay at 1911 to end of February then use ECC from March 2025.
m. Essington Bowling Club- Grant -Proposed by Ken Moseley, seconded by #James Parker, all in favour.
n. Pharmacy letter – Pharmacy to support customers and supply evidence.
o. Graffiti Wall – All Councillors in agreement with the mural for the outside wall.
p. Solar Farm – Nothing to report
JP left the meeting at 20.45 and returned at 20.46
6) Broad Lane – The park is in use – positive comments.
HS left the meeting at 20.49 and returned at 20.51
7) Westcroft – Comments have been positive regarding the play equipment.
8) Wyrley Juniors/Teddy Bears – Review rent before the end of the year.
9) Pools- Barrier – Has been ratified and Councillors confirmed to go ahead.
10) Swan Park – GK to contact companies for donations for extra play equipment.
11) Essington RUFC – Signage- All Councillors agreed.
12) Medical Centre- Closed session- update – Letter still not received from solicitors.
13) Land Titles- Closed Session – update – Nothing to report.
