Essington Parish Council Full Council Meeting
A Meeting of the Parish Council is to be held on Monday 21st June 2021 in the Community Centre Hall commencing at 7pm at which the business set out below will be transacted.
PUBLIC FORUM
Members of the public may join the meeting and participate in the Public Forum a maximum of 15 minutes will be allocated prior to the commencement of the meeting when members of the public may put questions/comments on any matter in relation to which the Parish Council has powers or duties which affect the area. If you prefer, queries or comments may be emailed to the Parish Clerk (clerk@essingtonpc.org) no later than 12 noon on Monday 21st June 2021 for consideration by the parish council.

Essington Parish Council Full Council Meeting
Monday 21st June 2021 in the Community Centre Hall commencing at 7pm.
PUBLIC FORUM

Declarations of Interest- Cllr Porter declared an interest in item 7.1 Schedule of payments
Minutes of the meetings held on the 24th May 2021- Proposed by Cllr Haddon, Seconded by Cllr Nicklin- All in Favour
Matters arising from previous minutes-None
District Councillors Report- Cllr Fisher mentioned the Urban Extension- 304 Hectares of Staffs County Council Land earmarked for development. Boundary Report- Parish Councils will remain the same however, some district wards will be subject to change.
Correspondence-
. Concerns regarding the state of the roads was discussed following correspondence from a resident. Council suggested that a meeting with Highways and our County Councillors should be arranged as soon as possible.
. Following resident’s enquiries regarding trees Councillors suggested that our tree wardens make arrangements for a site meeting with district council to carry out a survey of the area and assess any possible issues.
. An enquiry from a local Association regarding the possibility of a donation to boost fund raising was discussed and Deferred to an Agenda item at the next Management Meeting.
Financial Matters
7.1 Schedule of Payments- to be tabled at the meeting Proposed by Cllr Nicklin, Seconded by Cllr Southern- All in Favour. Cllr Kelly raised a query with one of the payments the clerk to hold back payment until clarification has been confirmed from the supplier.
7.2 Bank Balance as at 21st June to be tabled at the meeting- £171,748.83.
8. Reports from Sub- Committees HR/Maintenance/Finance- Chair of the HR Committee confirmed they had a successful first meeting and continue their work with the CC staff. Chair of the Finance Committee also confirmed the first meeting went well and will meet each month to oversee the Parish Council finances prepared by the RFO. The Maintenance committee have set a new date for their postponed meeting on the 15th June to Wednesday the 30th June @ 7pm.
9. To Agree Terms of Reference for Sub Committees-
HR- Proposed by Cllr Cornfield, Seconded by Cllr Southern- All in Favour.
Finance Proposed by Cllr Fisher, Seconded by Cllr Steel- All in Favour
10. Grass Cutting- it was confirmed that verges and other areas within the Parish are cut monthly divided 6/3 between County and District.
11. Westcroft Notice Board- A request to claim for a replacement has been forwarded to the Council’s insurers. Flyers to go out to all residents of West Croft as soon as possible, to give feedback on the new notice board.
12. Licences- 1911 Café/ Esther’s Wardrobe- All settled and with our Solicitor.
13. Date of the next Meeting- Full Council 19th July 2021.
Pools Committee 28th June @ 7pm Zoom all Councillors invited to attend.
Maintenance Sub Committee 30th June 2021 in the CC Hall.
Management 5th July 2021 in the CC Hall all Councillors.
Finance 12th July 2021 in the CC Hall.
