Full Parish Council Meeting held on the 9^th of January 2023 at 7pm in the Council Chamber.

Minutes.

Public and Press Participation- None

Present: Councillors, Chris Steel (Chairman), Hilary Southern (Vice Chairman) Steve Porter, Adrian Nicklin, Thelma Mattison, Winston Haddon, James Parker, Susan Sheldon & Ken Moseley.

1. Apologies: Cllr, Gill Kelly
2. Declarations of Interest-None
3. Minutes of the meeting held on Monday the 12^th of December 2023 – The Minutes were approved as an accurate record and signed by the Chairman Proposed by Winston, Seconded by Hilary, all in favour.
4. Matters arising from previous minutes- Agreement of 106 monies to be signed and returned following a couple of queries now resolved.
5. District Councillors Report- Councillor’s were made aware of Emergency Funding for items that make a difference, council mentioned the possibility of funding for solar panels which have already been considered. A follow up meeting with Solar Panel suppliers to be arranged.
6. Financial Matters

6.1        Schedule of Payments- January 2023- Approved, proposed by Adrian, seconded by Thelma, all in favour.

6.2        Income and Expenditure Reports- December 2022- Approved

6.3        Bank Reconciliation- December 2022- Councillors accepted the Bank Reconciliation.

6.4        Ratify Westcroft reimbursement of expenditure re: Jubilee Celebrations. Stay on Agenda, Pending receipts.

6.5        Ratify donation of Hall Hire to the Charity Alfie’s Smile as agreed under item 6.7 EP883 Full Council 17^th October 2022. Approved.

6.6      Arrange meeting to agree and set the budget for the Year 2023/24- A meeting has been arranged for Monday the 30^th of January at 7pm.

7            Christmas Lights Damage to existing cable and additional lights for Christmas 2023- Council discussed removing the lights from the Church with a view to have a tree more central to the village additional lighting throughout the Village was also considered, defer to Management meeting.

8          Warm Spaces- Deferred

9            Civic Sunday arrangements- Councillors were advised of the final arrangements, the Clerk was asked to send out a list of confirmed attendees along with a copy of the Order of service to all Councillors.

10. Speed Awareness- Councillors mentioned that a petition was being processed in Broad Lane to request that the speed humps and parking restrictions are not replaced following the current roadworks, The Parish Council agreed to give their full support where possible. A letter of support will be sent with the Petition to Highways, County and District Councillors, and MP Gavin Williamson.

11. Climate Change- Discussed under item 5 District Councillors Report.
12. Date of the next meeting– February the 13^th 2023
13. Closure- 9.12pm.
