Essington Parish Council Finance Sub- Committee Meeting Minutes the 11th of December 2023

Public and Press- None

Present: Councillors Chris Steel, Warren Fisher, Hilary Southern, Adrian Nicklin, Ken Moseley.

Also Present: Louise Tipler – Clerk and Kate Roberts- RFO.

Minutes
1.) Apologies- None
2.) Declarations of Interest- None
3.) Minutes of the last Meeting the 13th of November 2023-Proposed by Chris Seconded by Hilary, all in favour that the minutes were a true and accurate record.
4.) Schedule of Payments – December 2023- Proposed by Chris that the committee recommend the payments as set out in the schedule to Full Council except for the Waterplus figure which may be an overestimate. Seconded by Hilary all in favour.
5.) Income and Expenditure- November 2023- Councillors noted the Income and Expenditure report.
6.) Bank Reconciliation- November 2023- Proposed by Hilary, Seconded by Ken, all in favour.
7) Budget- Proposed by Warren, seconded by Chris that due to the small increase in the council tax base, the Council will keep the precept for 24/25 at £146,041 with no increase for taxpayers, all in favour.
8) Land Titles- Members resolved to recommend to Full Council that all land titles are purchased at a cost of £200 plus VAT and £18 disbursements in respect of Land Registry fees.
9) Internal Auditors- The RFO will continue to engage with prospected Auditors, add to the next Finance Meeting Agenda the 15th of January 2024.
