Essington Parish Council Finance Committee Meeting held on the 11^th of September 2023.

Present: Councillors Chris Steel, Warren Fisher, Ken Moseley.

Also Present: Louise Tipler Clerk, Kate Roberts RFO.

2.1 Minutes of the last meeting- Proposed by Warren, Seconded by Chris, all in favour.

Schedule of Payments August and September 2023- Approved except for Microshade payment. Proposed by Ken, Seconded by Chris, all in favour.
Debtors List– Noted
Budget-Committee members discussed briefly and noted. A Budget Meeting tba at the next Full Council Meeting.
Tennant’s Leases- All Tennant’s leases to be reviewed.
Land Titles- Members discussed and resolved to add to the next Full Council Meeting Agenda
Utilities 2024 Review quotes- The Councils British Gas fixed term contract is due for renewal in August 2024, whilst British Gas was the most competitive it was resolved to see how the rates go over the next few months, the clerk was asked to consult with Tennant’s renting the facilities in Long Lane their thoughts, members asked the Clerk to check the length of the fixed term.

Insurance Renewal 2024- Council are in a fixed contract until 2024 with the Current Insurer
Telephone and Internet renewal- It was resolved to look at some comparative quotes11)
Date of the next meeting- The next Finance Meeting was arranged for Monday the 9^th of October 2023.
