Minutes.
Management Meeting held on Monday the 22nd of January 2024 at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber.

Present: Councillors Chris Steel, Warren Fisher, Gill Kelly, Steve Porter, Sam Curtis, Susan Sheldon, Ken Mosely & James Parker.
1. Apologies- Councillors, Thelma Mattison, Hilary Southern & Adrian Nicklin.
2. Declarations of Interest- None
3. Approval of the last meeting minutes the 20th of November 2023- Proposed by Gill, seconded by Steve, all in favour, that the minutes were a true and accurate record.
4. Matters Arising- Installation of the benches at Broad Lane playing fields was mentioned, the clerk advised that she is waiting for a suitable date for transportation to be arranged between the necessary persons involved.
5. ECC
a) Maintenance Contract- Deferred until Hilary returns to arrange a HR meeting.
b) Tree Maintenance – Nothing to report at present, however, the damaged ground from previous tree works at the top of High Hill has now been satisfactorily tidied up.
c) Car Park Barriers- Reports of continual damage to the parking barriers were discussed it was suggested that perhaps screwing them into the bases might restrict them being knocked out and damaged.
d) Additional Car Park Signage – Additional Signage is on order, Councillors also resolved to write to St Johns School regarding Parking issues, and abuse towards Community Staff from Parents.
e) Posts and SIDS- awaiting correspondence from District Council re- Funding.

f) Discuss Bellway S106 Monies – Deferred
g) Celebration in the Community the 4th of February- Plans and updates- Councillors discussed final plans and resolved that additional invites should go out to approx, 20 more voluntary members of the Community.
h) Alarm Keypads and Fobs both fire door new entrances. – Deferred
i) Shop space – to be advertised in the next Church magazine – March for business ideas and expressions of interest.
6) Medical Centre – Update- The Chairman has a meeting with the Council’s Solicitors on Tuesday the 23rd of January 2024.
7) Broad Lane- Benches Update- as discussed in item 4 on the Agenda Matters arising

a) Utilities/Meters- Meters have now been read
b) Barrier- Repair- Required new Padlock which has now been replaced.
c) Heraldic Shield. – To be arranged.
10) Pools- LNR- Ecology Site Meeting and Report- Suggestions have been made by County Council to create an orchard or Tree Avenue on the Pools site however, councillors discussed that whilst this is a great addition for the pools there are some concerns that it may restrict visibility encouraging ASB, lack of light etc. a further meeting tba.
11) Swan Park- Damaged equipment has now been repaired, maintenance will continue to monitor. Due to continual voluntary work in and around the Village green areas the clerk was asked to order 3 wheelbarrows 2x for use by Community groups and another to replace the disappearance of one from the Community Centre. To be added to the next full council meeting for ratification.
12) Staffing Matters- Councillors agreed to the proposed contractual changes and training, of Staff. Proposed by Ken, Seconded by Sam, all in favour.
13) Land Titles – Further Clarification to be sought from the Councils Solicitor, which the Chairman will discuss at his meeting on Tuesday the 23rd of January.
